An insured employee who suffered permanent or long-term health impairment as a result of an accident at work
or an occupational disease is entitled to a one-off compensation from ZUS.
From April 1, 2021, new, higher amounts apply. Currently, for each percent of permanent or long-term health impairment,
the amount is PLN 1,033 gross. Previously, it was PLN 984 gross. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the employee has the right
to demand compensation and compensation from the employer on general terms in court. The amounts awarded are significantly
higher than those paid by ZUS. As a result of an accident at work or an occupational disease, he suffered permanent or
long-term health impairment, and is entitled to a one-off compensation from ZUS.
